Bio
Wes Morgan was hired as Glen Oaks Community College's first Sports Information Director in the spring of 2023, helping to build the program's digital presence, assisting in marketing efforts and providing visual and written coverage of Viking athletics. Prior to joining GOCC, Morgan worked as a sports journalist for the Kalamazoo Gazette, Mlive.com, ESPN, ESPNChicago.com, 247Sports and Assistant Editor Blue & Gold Illustrated (Notre Dame).
He was a longtime beat writer covering Notre Dame football and basketball, a Detroit Lions columnist, and a freelance writer for several newspapers, including USA Today. He created and operated a hyper-local media company in Southwest Michigan highlighting prep sports in St. Joseph, Cass and Kalamazoo Counties from 2013-2023, as well as serving as a marketing consultant for numerous companies in the Midwest, focusing on video production.
