The Glen Oaks Community College baseball team squared off against Marian University's Ancilla College in a pair of doublheaders leading up to Easter and the Vikings came away with four victories. Glen Oaks has won nine of its last 10 contests and improved to 20-17 overall and 11-6 in Michigan Community College Athletic Assocation Western Conference play.

Game 1
Glen Oaks 11, Ancilla 4
In the first inning, Caleb Mallory singled, scoring two runs, and a pair of Ancilla errors led to two more runs for the Vikings for an early cushion.
Glen Oaks piled on in the second inning after Braeden Becker singled to left field, and Ancilla committed an error, with each play producing a run.
Andrew Onuegbu earned the win for GOCC with six hits and three runs over six innings, striking out six and walking five. Hunter Tinervia appeared in relief for Glen Oaks Community College.
Steven Drewyor set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading the Vikings with two hits in three at bats. Mallory, Peyton Simmons, and Becker each drove in two runs for GOCC. Mallory, Daniel Vizthum, Cohen Yoder, and Becker each stole multiple bases for Glen Oaks, which finished with 11 total steals in the game.
Game 2
Glen Oaks 6, Ancilla 2
Ancilla College got on the board in the top of the first inning after Glen Oaks committed an error, and a single made it a 2-0 game in favor of the visitors.
Glen Oaks tied things up in the bottom of the first thanks to a double by Braeden Becker, and a walk by Corbin White. The Vikings pulled ahead in the bottom of the second. A wild pitch scored two runs, to give Glen Oaks Community College the advantage, 4-2. The Vikings added a run in the third on a passed ball.
Jayden Sloniker got the win on the bump for Glen Oaks. He surrendered five hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking three.
Leadoff hitter Steven Drewyor led Glen Oaks with two hits in three at bats. Jayden Hamilton and Becker each drove in one run for Glen Oaks Community College.

Game 1
Glen Oaks 20, Ancilla 4
Steven Drewyor collected four hits in five at bats, as Glen Oaks cruised to a Game 1 victory on the road. Drewyor hit a solo home run to left field in the first inning, doubled in the seventh inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fifth inning.
Including Drewyor's homer, Jayden Hamilton drew a walk, scoring one run, and Ford induced Daniel Vizthum to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored for a comfortable lead in the first inning.
Glen Oaks built on that with three runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI ground outs by Corbin White and Vizthum.
The Vikings scored eight runs on five hits in the top of the seventh inning. White singled, scoring one run, Simmons drew a walk, scoring one run, Gionni Fonseca doubled, scoring two runs, a passed ball scored one run, Tyler Shisler hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Drewyor doubled, scoring one run, and a passed ball scored one run.
Collin Yoder earned the win for Glen Oaks after he gave up four hits and four runs (zero earned) over six innings, striking out six and walking one. Gavin Peterson pitched one inning of scoreless ball in relief. allowed one hit, striking out three and walking two.
Glen Oaks posted 15 hits in the game. Vizthum, the number seven hitter, led the way with six runs batted in. Caleb Mallory, White, and Braeden Becker each collected multiple hits and Simmons finished with three walks.
Game 2
Glen Oaks 7, Ancilla 4
Glen Oaks jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Peyton Simmons singled, scoring two runs, Jayden Hamilton hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and a steal of home scored one run.
The Vikings scored one run in the top of the second on a solo home run to left field by Braeden Becker on an 0-2 count, and they added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Logan O'Malley singled to center field, and Cohen Yoder doubled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Jackson Stewart earned the victory after he surrendered two hits and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking none. Gavin Wickham collected the save. Brady Mescher and Tyler Norris each appeared in relief for Glen Oaks.
Simmons provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led GOCC with two runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Simmons, Corbin White, and Becker each collected two hits for Glen Oaks.
