Moore commits to Indiana University Northwest
Glen Oaks standout to continue basketball career with RedHawks
Centreville, Mich. — Glen Oaks Community College men's basketball standout Amauri Moore (Hammond, Ind.) has officially committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Indiana University Northwest, joining the RedHawks men's basketball program for the 2026–27 season.
Indiana University Northwest, located in Gary, Indiana, competes at the NAIA level as a member of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC). The RedHawks are coming off a strong stretch of success, including a CCAC regular season championship share and a berth in the 2025 NAIA National Tournament, highlighting the program's continued growth and competitiveness .
Moore, a versatile sophomore guard/forward, capped his career at Glen Oaks with an outstanding 2025–26 season. He earned All-MCCAA Western Conference Second Team honors after averaging 14.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. He was highly efficient offensively, shooting 55.5 percent from the field, while also contributing defensively with 18 steals and 26 blocks.
Over his two-year career with the Vikings, Moore established himself as a consistent and impactful performer, finishing with 712 points, 380 rebounds, 97 assists, 29 steals, and 26 blocks.

Moore's combination of size, athleticism, and efficiency makes him a strong addition to a RedHawks program that has proven it can compete among the top teams in the CCAC and on the national NAIA stage. His familiarity with the Northwest Indiana area also provides a natural transition as he continues his collegiate career close to home.
With Moore's signing, Glen Oaks continues its tradition of developing student-athletes who advance to four-year programs and succeed at the next level.
