The Glen Oaks Community College softball team saw its postseason run come to an end with a 3-2 loss to Mott Community College in the NJCAA Division II Region 12 Great Lakes District A semifinal Saturday at Marathon Diamonds in Findlay, Ohio.

Mott claimed the win when Josie Spencer doubled to drive in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Glen Oaks responded in the top of the fifth when freshman catcher Braylyn Hernandez tied the game at 2-2 with a solo home run to left field as the rain began to fall harder. The game was suspended soon after.
Freshman pitcher/first baseman Hannah Brinks started in the circle for the Vikings and allowed one hit and two runs over four innings while striking out five and walking four. Freshman pitcher/outfielder Cassie Holland worked the final 2.1 innings, allowing one run on four hits with three strikeouts and one walk.
