Three Vikings Recognized By MCCAA

The Michigan Community College Athletic Association recently announced its 2023-24 women's basketball awards and Glen Oaks landed three players on the list. In the MCCAA Western Conference, Amanda Barber, Morgan Kurdziel and Sarah DeKoning all made the Honorable Mention Team for the Vikings. 

Barber, a freshman from Gobles, averaged 8.2 points, 3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game this year while shooting at a 34.7-percent clip. Kurdziel, a sophomore out of Rothbury, scored 7.6 points, grabbed 6.3 rebounds and averaged 2.3 assists per contest. She shot 35.4 percent from the field. DeKoning, a sophomore from Lawton, posted 7.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1 assist per game and shot 30.1 percent from the floor.
