In a tough test early in the season Saturday at the Roadrunner Classic, the Glen Oaks Community College women's basketball team lost, 65-31, to Olive-Harvey College, which entered the season ranked No. 25 in NJCAA Division 1.
The Panther defense locked the Vikings down in the second half and allowed just two GOCC field goals. For Glen Oaks, Zy'Asija Scott led the way with 12 points, all of which came in the first half, and Kennedy Lockett had eight. Jordyn Partee, Lockett and Cami Turpin each pulled down four rebounds and Scott finished with two steals.
Turpin led the team with three blocks.
Glen Oaks is back in action Nov. 7 at the Cuyahoga Tournament against Cuyahoga at 7:30 p.m.
