The damage was done in the first quarter as No. 4-ranked Lansing Community College jumped out to a 26-point lead Thursday at home against Glen Oaks, eventually putting a 96-41 MCCAA Western Conference victory in the books.
The Stars shot over 42 percent from the field for the game, made 14 3-pointers and outrebounded GOCC 60-36. Destiny Ochs was 6-for-9 from deep to lead the squad with 26 points.
Leigha Shudell paced Glen Oaks with 16 points, Tayler Denton was next in line with 8 and Jordyn Partee and Braylyn Hernandez each had 5.
Glen Oaks slipped to 6-15 overall and 1-6 in the league.
