Fans that attended Saturday's volleyball quad at Glen Oaks were treated to an exciting afternoon match that didn't quite go the Vikings' way. In the end, Edison State managed to close out a 25-17, 29-31, 25-13, 25-19 victory over GOCC.
Keegan Russell and Alicyn Arevalo led Glen Oaks with 11 kills apiece, followed by Kaytlin Smith (nine), Gina Smith (seven) and Karsyn Stebbins (two). Most of those came by way of setter Elayna Zuidema, who finished with 20 assists.
Kulayjah Weller produced nine assists and three digs, Isabella Coy had a team-high 19 digs to accompany three aces and an assist, and Arevalo notched two blocks. Gina Smith also registered three aces for the Vikings.
