Viking volleyball tops Andrews
GOCC earns road win in four sets.
In a nonconference match Tuesday night at Andrews University, the Glen Oaks Community College volleyball squad came away with a four-set win, 25-16, 25-23, 23-25, 25-16.
Kylie Quist led the offensive charge with a total of 16 kills and Keegan Russell was not far behind with 13. Maddie Osburn finished with nine and Elayna Zuidema had eight.
Setter Maddie Osburn collected 27 assists and Jaelyn Sundberg added 12 for the Vikings. Four players tallied double-digit digs, with Braylyn Hernandez and Russell pacing GOCC with 16 apiece. Osburn chipped in 12 and Quist finished with 10. Hernandez and Osburn also produced four service aces each.
Glen Oaks improved to 3-4 overall and will host a quad Saturday at the Doyle Center in Sturgis with a 9 a.m. match against Jackson College and a 3 p.m. match vs. Edison State.
